Jonz Norine
JONZ NORINE is a partner and shareholder of Kenny, Snowden & Norine with a primary practice in civil trial litigation. Including insurance defense, corporate, real estate, fraud, personal injury, construction defects, elder abuse, and civil appeals.
Mr. Norine has an international educational background, graduating from high school in Buffalo, Minnesota and then becoming a Rotary Exchange Student in Durban, South Africa. He went on to study international relations, economics, German, and law at Philipps Universitaet in Marburg, Germany. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, California in 1992, graduating Cum Laude and also receiving NCAA All-American honors for academics and athletics (1500 meter run). Mr. Norine took further studies abroad during law school, studying international and comparative law at University of Oslo College of Law in Norway. He obtained his law degree from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1995.
During law school he authored an article concerning the conservation status of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, which straddles the border of Minnesota and Canada, and was then selected as a Primary Editor of the Hamline Journal of Public Law & Policy.
Mr. Norine is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to the United States District Courts, Northern and Eastern. He was President of the Shasta-Trinity Counties Bar Association in 2003. He has served on several local non-profit boards, has volunteered as a Judge Pro Tem in the local court, and has experience in conducting arbitrations.
